5 Tips To Help You Take Care Of Your New Hair Transplants

Beauty & Fashion Blog

If you just got hair transplants, there are a few things that you are going to need to do to ensure that your transplants thrive and grow well. Here are a few things you can do that will help you recover from the hair transplant process.

#1 Keep Your Head Upright

The first thing that you need to do is keep your head as elevated as possible. This will help reduce the swelling on your scalp following your hair transplant procedure. When you sleep, try to keep your head elevated as well.

Sleep with a couple of pillows under your head so you are sleeping in more of a sit-up position. If you have a reclining chair, that could also make a great temporary bed for a few days while your head heals from the transplants.

#2 Take Your Medication

Your doctor will give you medication to take care of your scalp and ensure that it heals properly without an infection developing. Do not skip a dose of your medication; take it as scheduled. If you don't understand how you should take your medication, consult with your doctor.

#3 Postpone Your Workout For A Few Days

The second thing you need to do is limit your physical activity for a few days. You want to avoid sweating while your scalp is healing; sweating can increase your chance of developing an infection following your procedure.

Avoid the gym for a couple days. If you need to go outside, put on a hat to avoid heat and sweating. Keep your showers cool and avoid hanging out in a sauna as well.

#4 Avoid Spicy Foods

Working is not the only way that your body produces sweat. Eating really hot food can make your face and scalp sweat. Try to avoid any spicy dishes while your head is healing. Stick to foods that are not spicy and don't make you sweat. Try to stick to healthy foods, such as salads, while your body is recovering. You want to make sure that your head and body is getting the right nutrients that it needs.

#5 Skip The Smokes & Alcohol

Additionally, you should also skip out on cigarettes and alcohol. Both of these can affect your blood supply to your head. You don't want to engage in any behavior that will compromise your recovery.

Follow the tips above, as well as all advice that your doctor provides you with, to ensure that your scalp recovers from your hair transplant procedure and you start growing hair. For more information, contact PAI Medical Group Edmonton surgical hair restoration.

Accessorizing Your Evening Gown

My name is Melinda Franklin, and I want to thank you for visiting my website. My husband Joseph is an executive in the firm where he works. This means we have three to five annual formal affairs to attend. I will be the first to admit that I’m not the most fashion savvy person. For years, I would find and wear what I thought was the perfect evening gown for each event, yet never felt quite as lovely as I thought I should. I would admire the other women and wonder why I didn’t feel as stunning as they looked. Then it finally dawned on me --it was my lack of accessories. The other women wore earrings and necklaces that completed their outfits. I haphazardly put on jewelry and accessories that I knew were mundane. I would like to share some accessorizing tips I’m using now.
